ZachXBT, a blockchain investigator, has become an advisor at Paradigm, a research-based cryptocurrency investment company.
In a post on X on February 26, ZachXBT, who bills himself as a scam survivor who is now a 2D investigator, verified the development. The renowned blockchain analyst claims he will be an incident response advisor at Paradigm, collaborating with the cryptocurrency venture capital firm’s portfolio companies.
The anonymous on-chain investigator stressed that when he joined the company, he would keep concentrating on his main task: looking into and resolving blockchain crimes. He said it was simple for him to decide to join Paradigm.
“It was an easy decision because it allows me to continue publishing investigations and assisting the community.” I have always appreciated Paradigm’s contributions to the field, including its support of the Security Alliance, publication of open-source research, and defense of the right to privacy.
Matt Huang, a co-founder of Paradigm, commented on the partnership and affirmed that ZachXBT’s work in the field will continue. Huang stated:
ZachXBT is a legend who holds terrible actors accountable by using onchain forensics. He has reimbursed victims of scams and hacks more than $350 million. As the industry expands, this becomes more and more crucial. ZachXBT’s appointment as an advisor to Paradigm excites us. We want to help him continue to do well; nothing about his focus will change.
ZachXBT has uncovered several crimes involving cryptocurrencies, and his thorough investigations have helped law enforcement catch criminals.
In his most recent endeavor, the investigator assisted in identifying the hackers responsible for the $1.5 billion Bybit heist as the Lazarus Group. He won a $50,000 Arkham bounty as a result.
ZachXBT’s contributions to the launch of the exchange’s platform aimed at combating the Lazarus hackers were also recognized by Bybit.
